Policies & Procedures: Group Spanish Program

As a registered student of Brunetti Language School’s Group Spanish Program, you are expected to adhere to the following Policies and Procedures:

  • Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
  • If the Student misses a lesson, the unused hours will be forfeited.
  • If the minimum number of Students do not enroll for a class, all Students who paid will receive a full refund.
  • All classes are held from 6-8 p.m., one night per week, for 6 weeks.
  • Please read the course descriptions carefully. BLS recommends each student complete the Spanish language assessment provided with the registration form to best gauge student’s language level prior to taking the first class. You can access the assessment form at: https://www.transparent.com/language-resources/tests.html. Completing this form will ensure you are placed in the course level most appropriate for you. BLS will permit switching levels BEFORE the second class, should a Student find the level is not the best fit for him/her. No switches will be allowed after the second class.
  • Courses will meet curriculum goals set by the BLS Coordinator. If you have not received a copy of the curriculum goals for your class, please see the BLS Coordinator.
  • Registration fee includes a course packet. Instructor may provide additional handouts.
  • All classes will take place in the Brunetti Language School building,1418 S Big Bend Blvd, St. Louis MO 63117.

 Cancellation Policy:

  Time of Cancellation Policy
1 day prior  to the start date 100% of paid tuition will be returned minus a $50 administration fee.
After start date No refunds*.

*BLS Coordinator may, at her discretion, grant exceptions to this policy. All exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation of lessons due to inclement weather: When hazardous traveling conditions exist (snow, ice, etc.), lessons may be rescheduled.  In such a case, BLS will notify each student via phone no later than 5 p.m. the day of the scheduled class.  (NOTE: Please do not assume that a lesson is canceled.  What is hazardous to one person may not be to another).

Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive on time for class. BLS Group lessons will end at the scheduled end time, regardless of student tardiness.

Inability of an Instructor to complete a class:  In extremely rare cases, where an Instructor may be unable to complete a course, BLS will provide the Student with another Instructor as swiftly as possible.

Professional conduct: ILC/BLS expects its Instructors to adhere to the Independent Contractor’s Standardized Code of Professional Conduct and Business Practices. This reassures that they will respect and refrain from interfering with the business relationship that exists between ILC/BLS and our Students. Our Instructors are contractually bound not to solicit past and/or present Students for a period of 2 years for language instruction and services, including but not limited to translation, cross-cultural training, interpreting or any other language service provided by ILC/BLS. By signing below, you, the Student, also agree NOT to solicit our Instructors to work outside of their contract with ILC/BLS for language instruction, translation, cross-cultural training, interpreting or any other language services provided by ILC/BLS.
