Bernardo A. Brunetti

President

Bernardo Brunetti, an energetic entrepreneur founded the International Language Center in 1983 shortly after translocating from Milan to St. Louis at 20 years old.  With an excitement and enthusiasm for languages and cultures, Bernardo established ILC with the vision to enrich foreign language communication through exceptional customer service and outstanding linguistic excellence.

Throughout his career Bernard has received numerous accolades and honors for his business acumen and community involvement. A very active member in the Rotary Club, Bernardo served on several committees, and was elected to Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the University City, MO Rotary Club.  Bernardo has been featured in Success, Fast Forward, and Achieve magazines.  The St. Louis Business Journal, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.  Bernardo received the prestigious Forty Under 40 award for his notable success and volunteer efforts for the betterment of the community, bestowed by the St. Louis Business Journal.

As the Owner and President of ILC, Bernardo remains actively involved in guiding the company’s strategic direction and business initiatives.  Bernardo is fluent in Italian, and English, and proficient in Spanish.

Dede Brunetti is the Vice President of the International Language Center.  She oversees translation project management and interpreter coordinating teams, directs front line sales and negotiates and secures contracts with government entities, major corporations, healthcare professionals, school districts, and nonprofit organizations.  Dede earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Marymount University with a minor in Advertising.  A former Executive Vice President of Marketing for a national promotion agency, Dede managed a team of 40 members across three major cities (St. Louis, Atlanta and Dallas) and served clients such as Clorox, Energizer, and Nestlé-Purina.  In 2001, Dede joined the business which her husband started.  As Vice President of ILC, Dede continually probes language service industry trends and maintains strong and genuine relationships with clients and linguists.

Amanda Elliott is the Business Operations Manager, and the newest member of our team, with ILC for nearly two years. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French with a minor in Business from the University of Missouri – St. Louis which included studies in Lyon, France at Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University. Amanda taught high school French and received the “Most Adaptable Teacher” award for her ability to adapt her pedagogical skills to meet her students’ needs. Prior to joining ILC, Amanda was the General Manager of a car dealership for 20 years, managing three departments, overseeing loan financing, and ensuring financial regulation compliance. Fluent in English and French, with beginner Spanish skills, Amanda specializes in reviewing business practices, processes & procedures, and maintaining client relationships.

Tony Baldwin is the Director of Translation & DTP Services at the International Language Center. Tony has experience working in both the Translation and Interpreting Departments at ILC where he has worked as an administrator and linguist for eight years. Earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Romance Languages from Truman State University, Tony also studied Spanish <> Portuguese Translation while studying abroad at the Universidade de Vigo, in Spain.  Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with advanced proficiency in French, and intermediate Japanese skills, Tony applies his love for languages as ILC’s QA proofreader, ensuring outstanding translation quality.

Tania Trushkova, former Senior Project Manager for Translations at the International Language Center is now working remotely for ILC as a Project Manager and DTP specialist. Before she relocated, Tania held Management roles in both the Translation and Interpreting Departments at ILC.  She is originally from Bulgaria where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria, a Master’s Degree in German Studies from Dresden University of Technology in Germany, and a second Master’s Degree in Management from Sofia University in Bulgaria. Tania is certified as a translator in Bulgarian, German and English by the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry and worked as a professional translator in all combinations of Bulgarian, German and English prior to moving to the U.S. in 2007. Tania specializes in Desktop Publishing (DTP) with a keen eye for layout and design in a plethora of languages, including non-Roman alphabets such as Asian, Arabic, Cyrillic, and Indian.

Elyn Martinez-Cassmeyer is Supervisor of Interpreting Services at the International Language Center. She earned a combined Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and International Studies, with a focus in European studies from the University of Missouri in Columbia. A native of Honduras who moved to the United States in 2001, Elyn was the recipient of the Transitions Scholarship at UMC, a scholarship that helps minority students pay for college. Elyn later worked for the University’s Summer Transition Program, where she helped new minority students adjust to college life and interviewed and selected minority students to receive the same scholarship. She is now working on her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Elyn has worked in ILC’s interpreting department for ten years and is fluent in Spanish, Italian, and English.

Rada Vasilkyova is an Interpreting Department Coordinator at the International Language Center. Born and raised in Bulgaria, Rada earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and a Master’s Degree in European Public Administration from Sofia University, in Bulgaria. Before moving to the U.S. in 2015, Rada acquired expert knowledge in the preparation, management and coordination of projects financed by the Bulgarian Operation Programs of the European Union. Additionally, as a Project Manager, Rada provided project support in the Directorate, Investments, and Construction divisions at Sofia Municipality. Rada has worked in the Interpreting Department at ILC for nearly seven years, is fluent in Bulgarian, Serbian, and English, and most recently received her U.S. Citizenship via Naturalization ceremony in June 2022.
